It is manager - managed, with its managers as follows: Thomas Kerns Jayne Kerns The name of the registered agent in the State of Hawaii is as follows: Big Island Brewhaus LLC, 64-1066 Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela, Hawai ` i 96743. Under Application 25-16, Applicant Kanikapila Cafe LLC is concurrently applying for a Retail General liquor license, located at 168 Keawe Street, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720; TMK: 2-3-006:007. Applicant would like to operate a retail store within the same premises as its restaurant, offering branded merchandise, specialty items, local beers, wines and specialty spirits for its customers to -go. Each proposed licensed premises (Hale Kanikapila and Keawe Trading Post) will have its own POS (Point of Sale) system, and its own Persons in Active Charge, and will be clearly defined as to where the restaurant licensed premises is from the retail licensed premises. PERSONAL HISTORY: For information relative to the personal history of the applicant, please refer to Exhibits 1 - 3 attached. OTHER LICENSES HELD: Thomas D. Kerns and Jayne A. Kerns are also managers and members of the following liquor license in the County of Hawaii: • Big Island Brewhaus LLC dba Big Island Brewhaus- Brewpub, Category B2 Located at 64-1066 Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela, Hawai `i, TMK: 6-4-001:119. Licensee has no violations and has been operating in a reputable manner. LOCATION OF PREMISES: The proposed licensed premises is located at 168 Keawe Street, Hilo, Hawaii, in the former location of Bella Pacific Properties, LLC dba Hilo Town Tavern (REST-G-747). For further information please refer to site map attached as Exhibit 4. DETAILS OF PREMISES: The proposed licensed premises consists of approximately 9,358 square feet. The interior consists of kitchen facilities, dining areas, bar area with stools, storage, and separate men and women restrooms for its customers and employees. The covered courtyard area has additional tables for dining or dancing and a stage area for live entertainment. There is also a separate room for private parties and/or overflow seating. The former gallery space is currently empty, and Applicant plans to use it for overflow and an additional private party area. Parking is available on Keawe Street fronting the licensed premises.
