Liquor Commission <br />Kanikapila Cafe LLC <br />dba Keawe Trading Post <br />Page 2 <br />The name of the registered agent in the State of I Iawai`i is as follows: <br />Big Island Brewhaus LLC, 64-1066 Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela, Hawaii 96743. <br />Under Application 25-15, Applicant Kanikapila Cafe LLC is concurrently applying for a <br />Restaurant General liquor license, Category B2, located at 168 Keawe Street, Hilo, Hawaii, <br />96720; TMK: 2-3-006:007. Applicant would like to operate a restaurant and bar within the same <br />premises as its retail store, offering Ilawaiian Fusion and Pan Pacific lunches and dinners. Each <br />proposed licensed premises (Hale Kanikapila and Keawe Trading Post) will have its own POS <br />Point of Sale) system, and its own Persons in Active Charge, and will be clearly defined as to <br />where the restaurant licensed premises is from the retail licensed premises. <br />PERSONAL HISTORY: For information relative to the personal history of the applicant, <br />please refer to Exhibits 1 - 3 attached. <br />OTHER LICENSES HELD: Thomas D. Kerns and Jayne A. Kerns are also managers and <br />members of the following liquor license in the County of Hawaii: <br />• Big Island Brewhaus LLC dba Big Island Brewhaus- Brewpub, Category B2 <br />Located at 64-1066 Mamalahoa Highway, Kamuela, Hawai `i, TMK: 6-4-001:119. Licensee has <br />no violations and has been operating in a reputable manner. <br />LOCATION OF PREMISES: The proposed licensed premises is located at <br />168 Keawe Street, Hilo, Hawaii, in the former location of Bella Pacific Properties, LI,C <br />dba Hilo Town Tavern (REST-G-747). For further information please refer to site map attached <br />as Exhibit 4. <br />DETAILS OF PREMISES: The proposed licensed premises consists of approximately 627 <br />square feet and is located within proposed licensed premises, Hale Kanikapila. The proposed <br />licensed premises is accessible from the covered courtyard area of Hale Kanikapila, and will <br />consist of display shelves, refrigerator for beer and cold wine display, and a checkout counter. <br />Towards the back of the proposed licensed premises there are office spaces, and a locked and <br />secured storage room. For further information, refer to the Iy loorplan attached as Exhibit 5. <br />The locked storage room within the proposed licensed premises will be used to store liquor <br />securely for both proposed licensed premises (Hale Kanikapila and Keawe Trading Post). E1ale <br />Kanikapila is concurrently applying for an Outside Storage permit to store liquor within the <br />proposed retail licensed premises. Inventory and sales for both proposed licensed premises will <br />be kept separate. <br />Parking is available on Keawe Street fronting the licensed premises.
