Angel Pilago <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:35 a.m. An introduction of committee members, <br />staff, and guests was made. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />J. Matsui made a motion to accept the minutes of January 4, 2008. T. Yamanaka <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ISSUES <br />None. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />The treasurer’s report was reviewed. <br />L. Tobosa made a motion to accept the treasurer’s report as submitted. J. Souza <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />A. Letter from Lawrence Mahuna, Police Chief, to MCPD regarding the new person in <br />charge of the volunteer parking violation enforcement program and person in charge <br />of the taser training <br />J. Viernes to invite Sergeant Kelly Kaauamoana-Matsumoto and either Captain <br />James O’Connor or Acting Lieutenant Sam Kawamoto to attend the April meeting in <br />Kona. If they are not able to attend, then they will be invited to attend the May <br />meeting in Hilo. <br />COMMUNITY LIAISON REPORTS <br />A. EDUCATION/PUBLIC AWARENESS LIAISON – M. GLEASON/J.
