Peters said she checked with Costco about setting up a display table and it’s a <br />manager’s decision. However, a letter needs to be submitted by CSW. Kona <br />Commons and Crossroads have an application that needs to be completed. <br />C. Kitaoka offered to contact Wal Mart in Kona. <br />E. Cabatu stated that the money needs to be spent by June 30, 2010, but voting <br />is in November. However, she will check to see whether the radio spots can be <br />paid up front, but schedule to run in the fall. <br />K. Schneider said that she will ask AAUW where they will set up their table <br />because they do that every year as well and it doesn’t make sense for CSW to <br />set up right after they are done. In the past, the League of Women Voters has <br />collaborated with AAUW. She knows that a trained person has to be present. <br />2.Legislative Update <br />E. Cabatu reported that the HSCSW has approved to pay Brenda Olcott to share <br />her story as part of the human trafficking/teen prostitution bill. <br />D.Community Reports <br />None. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A.Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conference <br />N. Kelly reported that a staff from her office is willing to help distribute the books <br />accompanied with a letter from CSW. She offered to draft the letter. <br />C. Kitaoka mentioned that the DVDs are done and were delivered to her. Copies of <br />the DVD will be given to each CSW member. <br />B.Teens Internet Protection – A. Mejia <br />A. Mejia reported that the last teens internet protection presentation was held at <br />Keonepoko Elementary School. Presentations were held at Keaau elementary, <br />intermediate, and high school; Kau intermediate and high school; and for adults and <br />seniors in Honokaa. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />None. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the County <br />Building, Puna conference room. <br />B.Schedules <br />A.
