2.Legislative Update <br />E. Cabatu reported that the Women’s Caucus was suppose to present their package <br />for the 2010 legislative session, but it was unavailable online to share with the <br />committee. <br />Brenda Olcott will be invited to attend the next meeting to speak about her personal <br />experience with human trafficking/teen prostitution in Hilo. <br />D.Community Reports <br />None. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A.Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conference <br />C. Kitaoka will follow up on the DVD. <br />B.Teens Internet Protection – A. Mejia <br />A. Mejia reported that she coordinated a teens internet protection presentation at Keaau <br />elementary, intermediate and high school.Approximately 25-30 people attended. <br />Presenters were Officer Ed Namohala and Detective John Ancheta. Ka'u High School <br />also enjoyed it and it was well received. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />None. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kahilu <br />Theatre in Waimea. <br />E. Cabatu announced that she will attend a meeting with Tribune Herald reporter and <br />family violence interagency committee members to brief the reporter on the current state <br />of domestic violence prevention resources in the community on Monday, January 25, <br />2010, at 3:00 p.m. at the Prosecutor’s Office. C. Ka-ipo offered to attend with E. Cabatu. <br />N.
