E. Cabatu stated that HSCSW is interested in having a student come from the <br />neighbor islands. HSCSW is asking the county committees to ask organizations if <br />they will sponsor the student’s airfare. After some discussion, J. Mecklenburg <br />suggested some form of public advertisement is necessary to solicit names of <br />students. There has to be some kind of criteria for selecting the student. The <br />advertisement may be posted on the County of Hawaii’s website. K. Peters moved <br />that CSW solicit candidates on the county’s website and E. Cabatu will draft the <br />advertisement and send it to J. Viernes. A. Mejia seconded the motion. The motion <br />was passed. <br />D. Pung moved to approve airfare, taxi, and parking for K. Nova to attend the <br />International Women’s Leadership Conference. N. Kelly seconded the motion. The <br />motion was passed. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A.Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the Kahilu <br />Theatre in Waimea. <br />B.Schedules <br />E.
