Mejia announced the East Hawaii Coalition for the Prevention of Child <br />Abuse and Neglect Presents a Workshop on Treatment Issues in Child <br />Sexual Abuse with Dr. Carol Plummer to be held on January 5, 2009, from <br />9:00 to 11:30 a.m., in the Aupuni Center conference room. Deadline for <br />registration is December 29, 2008. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A. Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education Conference <br />C. Kitaoka reported that she received an email last week from Dr. Jill Murray <br />on the status of the conference. Basically, CSW needs to find more funding. <br />She would like to target April 2009 for the conference. <br />K. Nova mentioned that she spoke to a member of the Soroptimist Club and <br />CSW’s proposal has been presented to the board. The board was very <br />positive and the ideas are at the spending committee. K. Nova will follow up <br />in January. <br />A. Mejia requested an outline/objective from C. Kitaoka because she knows a <br />grant writer who is willing to help write a grant for Dr. J. Murray. <br />C. Kitaoka mentioned that she spoke to Sherry Bracken and she would be the <br />person to make the video and she would also be the resource for that. <br />S. Bracken also offered to do radio spots ahead of time and radio spots with <br />Dr. J. Murray. <br />3 <br /> <br />
