D. 2008 International Women’s Leadership Conference – Wednesday, September 24, <br />2008, Sheraton Waikiki Hotel and Resort <br />K. Nova expressed interest in attending, but she didn’t feel it was appropriate to <br />attend at this time. K. Peters stated that she would rather see $300 go towards an <br />event if the committee will be cutting back programs. The conference will benefit <br />K. Nova, but she would rather spend that much money if it could benefit ten parents <br />instead. It does not benefit the committee or the public, it benefits one individual. <br />A. Mejia offered to attend by using her mileage which will be no cost to the <br />committee. <br />After some discussion, K. Peters moved that CSW allow A. Mejia to take K. Nova’s <br />place to attend the conference by using her mileage and that she covers her own <br />travel expenses. D. Pung seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, September 19, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. in the <br />Kona Mayor’s Office conference room. <br />The November meeting has been changed to Friday, November 21, 2008, at <br />10:00 a.m. in Waimea.Location to be announced. <br />D. Pung suggested inviting Merle Endo, SANE Coordinator, as a guest speaker to <br />attend the October meeting in Hilo. <br />B.
