<br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, June 20, 2008, 10:00 a.m. <br />Kona Mayor’s Office Conference Room <br />PRESENT EXCUSED <br />Dawn Pung, Chair Nancy Kelly, Treasurer <br />Carol Kitaoka, Vice-Chair Charmaine Ka-ipo <br />Ellen Takazawa, Secretary Kathleen Peters <br />Andrea Mejia <br />Katie Nova ABSENT <br />Elena Cabatu, HSCSW Commissioner Janet Coburn <br /> (ex-officio) <br />Julie Mecklenburg, Corporation Counsel <br /> (ex-officio) <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:14 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />A quorum was present. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />D. Pung reported that there will not be Election of Officers because CSW did not receive a <br />slate in time to be mailed out to CSW members. <br />K. Nova moved to approve the agenda as submitted. A. Mejia seconded the motion. The <br />motion was passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />E. Takazawa moved to approve the May 16, 2008 minutes. C. Kitaoka seconded the <br />motion. The motion was passed. <br />TREASURER’S REPORT <br />The treasurer’s report was circulated. <br />K. Nova moved to accept the treasurer’s report. Outstanding expenditures are lunch, <br />mileage allowance, and the teen dating violence/equal pay radio advertisements. A. Mejia <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />None. <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />A.
