Email from Sharon Ferguson-Quick, Executive Director of the HSCSW, inviting <br />interested parties to attend the Hawaii Womens Oral History Collection to be held <br />on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the HSCSW Office <br />REPORTS <br />A. Education <br />1. Urgent Services Directory <br />D. Pung reported that she has updated the directory and asked if K. Peters would <br />be willing to input the changes into the computer. K. Peters agreed. <br />E. Takazawa reported that Keevan Tom of Alliance Direct publishes a newsletter <br />called Waiakea Uka and Kaumana Malamalama. He is interested in inserting the <br />Urgent Services Directory in his mailings. K. Peters said she would like to know <br />the target audience because CSW spends a lot of money for the directory. <br />E. Takazawa offered to contact K. Tom to obtain more information and where the <br />directory will be disseminated. <br />2. First Female Booklet <br />Tabled. <br />3. Essay Contest <br />Tabled. <br />4. Mentoring <br />Tabled. <br />5. Hawaii County Womens Hall of Fame October 28, 2006 <br />C. Ka-ipo reported that she fielded seven phone calls since the press release <br />was published in the Hawaii Tribune Herald. <br />C. Ka-ipo stated that she would like to provide hotel accommodations and $200 <br />forthesoundsystemtoPacificSoundCompany.Secondly,thejudgeswillmeet <br />sometime in July/August to review the judging criteria. CSW suggested that <br />C.Ka-ipoprepareanitemizedbudgetfortheWomensHallofFameandpresent <br />it to the committee for approval at the next meeting. <br />2 <br /> <br />
