6. Equal Pay <br />D. Pung reported that CSW discussed having A. Amaral speak on Equal Pay for <br />Womens Health Month. K. Peters recommended that this program be directed <br />towards high schoolers. K. Peters said that M. Masunaga and C. Kitaoka have <br />contacted schools in West Hawaii so CSW can ask them who to approach and <br />CSW can work with former member J. Balberde-Kamalii in coordinating with East <br />Hawaii Schools. <br />Tabled. <br />B. Health <br />1. Womens Health Month <br />S. Newland reported that she received a letter from the HSCSW about Womens <br />Health Month. <br />C. Ka-ipo suggested that CSW talk about breastcancer prevention and provide <br />true facts. S. Newland added that CSW could direct it towards breast health <br />care. <br />E. Takazawa mentioned that planned events for Womens Health Month are <br />healing touch, Tai Chi, Reiki, and a financial planning seminar for Hilo. <br />S. Newland said she is still developing her program about birth and prenatal <br />care. <br />D. Pung stated that it seems like CSW will be able to advertise the events <br />through the HSCSW. C. Ka-ipo has also agreed to go on the radio and talk <br />about Womens Health Month and the Womens Hall of Fame. <br />C. Liaison <br />1. HSCSW <br />Tabled. <br />2. Newland reported that the Womens Hall of Fame press release went out to the <br />Punaroundtable.Secondly,hergroupheldthreecommunitymeetingsforthePuna <br />Community Planning Meeting. Lastly, the dolphin birthing center received the most <br />communitysupport. <br />3 <br /> <br />
