Thank you letter from Darnell Caravalho, Wedding & Events Manager of the Mauna <br />Kea Resort, for selecting the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel as the site for the Real <br />Women essay contest awards lunch <br />E. Letter from Myles Miyasato, Chair of the Cost of Government Commission, <br />regarding input from CSW on certain issues <br />F. Michigan Womens Commission Newsletter <br />REPORTS <br />A. Education <br />1. Urgent Services Directory <br />J. Viernes reported that she has two packets left of the directory. She suggested <br />printing the directory this fiscal year with leftover funds. D. Pung said she <br />already updated the directory. <br />S. Newland moved that CSW print 15,000 of the directory in coral/peach color <br />this fiscal year. C. Ka-ipo seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />D. Pung reported that some people may be requesting for the directory often and <br />CSW may want to monitor the distribution. Any requests for the directory should <br />be referred to J. Viernes. However, S. Newland said that we should have both <br />options of having people call J. Viernes and calling her directly for the directory. <br />2. First Female Booklet <br />Tabled. <br />3. Essay Contest <br />C. Kitaoka reported that next years essay contest awards luncheon has been <br />reserved for Sunday, March 4, 2007 at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. She <br />decided on the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel because of the cost of lunch and to <br />getmoreparticipationfromWestHawaii.Shesuggestedalternatinglocations <br />between Hilo, Waikoloa, and Kona depending on participation from the schools. <br />4.
