Newland reported that last month she spoke before the Governors Advisory <br />Council for East Hawaii on Domestic Harmony and she also spoke about how <br />pregnant women are the most vulnerable. <br />A benefit fundraiser will be held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Lolas to support safe <br />alternatives requires anothers help (Sarah Foundation). P. Newland said this is a <br />benefit in honor of her friend and Puna resident who was beaten and is brain dead <br />while in her seven-month pregnancy. <br />P. Newland requested for a motion to make something that CSW stands behind <br />which is educating women. P. Newland moved that CSW support the principles of <br />domestic harmony awareness and education. C. Ka-ipo seconded the motion. <br />C.
