CORRESPONDENCE <br />A. Letter from New West Broadcasting Corp. regarding an employment opening <br />B. East Hawaii Cultural Center Newsletter showing pictures of two Womens Hall of <br />Fame winners <br />REPORTS <br />A. Education <br />1. Urgent Services Directory <br />E. Takazawa suggested distributing the directories at the YWCA for families to <br />pick up. <br />J. Viernes reported that she has approximately 12 packets left (250 in a packet). <br />She has a distribution list of the different organizations/agencies that requested <br />for the directories. <br />P. Newland suggested having the directory available on-line and ready for print <br />as an option. J. Viernes said that the directory is listed under Office of the Mayor <br />in the County of Hawaiis website. <br />C. Ka-ipo and E. Takazawa offered to co-chair the distribution of the directories. <br />2. First Female Booklet <br />A copy of the final draft of the First Female Booklet was circulated to CSW <br />members for review. <br />P. Newland suggested having the booklet available on a web page and ready for <br />print as an option. J. Viernes said that the booklet is on a PDF file and could be <br />listed under Office of the Mayor in the County of Hawaiis website. The file may <br />be e-mailed to the Data Systems Department for implementation. <br />P. Newland suggested putting pictures of the Womens Hall of Fame winners into <br />the First Female Booklet. E. Takazawa offered to obtain the pictures from <br />L. Guluzzy of the Womens Hall of Fame winners for inclusion into the booklet. <br />3. Essay contest <br />J.Balberde-Kamaliireportedthatapproximately76entriesweresubmittedand <br />57 met the criteria. There were five charters school throughout the island from <br />Waimea,Hilo,andKeaauthatparticipated.TherewasalsoanentryfromKohala <br />Intermediate School. On Monday, she should determine the first, second, and <br />thirdplacewinnersforeachdivisionfromgrades5through12. <br />2 <br /> <br />
