J. Viernes is working on the medals with Trophy Case. <br />The local style menu will include rice, macaroni salad, and Korean chicken. The <br />lunch will cost approximately $20 per head for 100 people, a $250 facility deposit, <br />and $105 for the PA & microphone system. The total cost for the event will be <br />$2,355.00. <br />Donation letters will be going out asking for donations from T&T Electric, Inc., Big <br />Island Candies, and Big Island Delights. Last years photographer has agreed to <br />take pictures for this years event. <br />D. Pung questioned who is invited to the luncheon since CSW pays for all <br />attendees. She suggested that CSW pay for two parents along with the winner <br />and €Real Woman. The teachers have a separate invitation. However, in the <br />pastsiblingswereabletoattendtheluncheon.CSWdecidednottoinvite <br />Jeanne Ohta this year because she is only a part time temporary employee. <br />M. Masunaga suggested inviting Faye Watanabe Kurren, who is the chair of the <br />HSCSW instead. <br />J. Balberde-Kamalii said that CSW should consider limiting the invitations for <br />next year because precedence has been set from last year and this issue was <br />brought up at the last minute. In addition, the invitations have been printed <br />indicating four lines of which to list the people attending. <br />J. Balberde-Kamalii provided a summary of the €Real Women essay contest for <br />new CSW members. <br />J. Balberde-Kamalii said that the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is offering a $159 <br />kamaaina room rate. <br />M. Masunaga moved to approve the essay contest budget of $2,355. <br />P. Newland seconded the motion. The motion was passed. P. Newland <br />amended the motion to raise the essay contest budget of $3,000 since the <br />savings bonds were not included in the previous request. M. Masunaga <br />seconded the motion. The motion was passed. <br />4. Equal Pay Day <br />P. Newland reported that she is still in the planning stages for Equal Pay Day. <br />She is open to suggestions. <br />M.MasunagareportedthattheHSCSWwillnotbedoinganythingforEqualPay <br />Day due to lack of staff support. <br />5.
