C. Letter from Alberta Lindsay, AAUW to CSW requesting a speaker at their joint membership meeting in Waimea on January 22 M. Masunaga agreed to be the guest speaker on behalf of CSW. D. Training Notice from the Office of the Corporation Counsel regarding the State Sunshine Law to be held on December 1, 2004 at the Aupuni Center Conference Room REPORTS A. Education 1. Urgent Services Directory L. Guluzzy reported that the revised directory will be distributed throughout the community. The directory is dropped off at health clinics, doctors offices, Curves for Women, senior citizens organizations, and other locations where families are involved that would need the directory for the County. 2. First Female Booklet Tabled. 3. Essay Contest J. Balberde-Kamalii reported that the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel is the only resort that has responded to her proposal to host the essay contest luncheon on Sunday, March 6, 2005, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. She will work on changing the menu to have it more young people friendly. A follow up e-mail will be done to all the public schools reminding them to turn in the contact person postcard. In the meantime, she will work on soliciting donations for the goody bags and seeking judges. The cost of the facility will be $250. 4. Equal Pay Day Tabled. 5. Mentoring Tabled. 6. Hawaii County Womens Hall of Fame Dinner L. Guluzzy reported that CSW members compiled a list of questions concerning the Womens Hall of Fame at the last meeting. She pointed out that most of the discussiontookplaceduringtheplanningsessionanditwasnotrecorded.She will go down the list of questions and address them accordingly. L. Guluzzy said that the $48 dinner cost was a negotiated price down from what it couldhavebeen.Shereviewedatentativemenufordinner.Therewillbeano- host bar. 2
