<br />MINUTES <br />COMMITTEE ON THE STATUS OF WOMEN <br />Friday, September 17, 2004, 10:00 a.m. <br />Department of Finance Conference Room <br />PRESENTEXCUSED <br />Dawn Pung, Vice-ChairLaura Guluzzy, Chair <br />JoAnne Balberde-Kamalii, Secretary <br />Ellen Takazawa, Treasurer <br />Carol Kitaoka <br />Paradise Newland <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />The meeting was called to order at 10:07 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />A quorum was present. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />P. Newland moved to approve the agenda as submitted. J. Balberde-Kamalii seconded <br />the motion. The motion was passed. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />P. Newland moved to approve the August 13, 2004 minutes. E. Takazawa seconded <br />the motion. The motion was passed. <br />TREASURERS REPORT <br />The treasurers report was circulated. <br />E. Takazawa reported that funds for Womens Health Month is supported by the Hawaii <br />State Commission on the Status of Women (HSCSW) trust fund and will not be in <br />jeopardy as a result of Allicyn Hikida Tasakas resignation. <br />P. Newland moved to accept the treasurers report. J. Balberde-Kamalii seconded the <br />motion. C. Kitaoka inquired about the encumbered amount under the printing account. <br />J. Viernes said the $1,050 is the cost of the Urgent Services Directory. The bid was <br />awarded and the funds become encumbered.
