C. Liaison <br />1. HSCSW <br />M. Lake reported that she will be attending the next HSCSW meeting scheduled <br />for June 18, 2004 on Oahu. <br />A report from A. Hikida Tasaka, HSCSW, was distributed to CSW members. <br />2. Legislative Update <br />M. Lake reported that she has been attending the Hawaii Womens Coalition <br />meetings on Oahu. She has supported what the coalition does. They will be <br />now focusing on community education. They are also looking into establishing a <br />website to trackbills. <br />M. Lake requested that the vice chair attend the next Hawaii Womens Coalition <br />meeting on June 9, 2004 on Oahu. <br />E. Takazawa asked if the Hawaii Womens Coalition has agreed to come over <br />and schedule a meeting on the Big Island. Perhaps a representative from the <br />coalition could come over and provide a legislative update to CSW. M. Lake said <br />she brought it to the attention of the Hawaii Womens Coalition, but they did not <br />bring it up for discussion. The problem may be due to cost, flying, and time. She <br />will suggest to A. Hikida Tasaka about having a representative attend the training <br />meetinginJuly. <br />D.Marketing <br />1. Newsletter <br />M. Lake reported that she will have the newsletter completed by the next meeting <br />for approval. She welcomed CSW members to assist her with the newsletter. <br />E. Community Reports <br />L. Guluzzy reviewed her community report which was circulated to CSW <br />members. <br />L. Guluzzy reported that her husband participated inaGirl Scout Sports Day held <br />in conjunction with the National Girls and Women in Sports Day for tennis. <br />Tennis pro Nancy Wheeler and Mario Celarie, from Mauna Lani Bay Resort, <br />participated in the event. There were 44 girls, 20 parents/leaders, and 24 <br />volunteers that participated. <br />L. Guluzzy reported that she attended a Rotary meeting this month. A gentleman <br />from The Neighborhood Place of Kona presented a nice tri fold brochure which <br />could be used by someone in the community as a prototype to start up a <br />business. <br />P.Newlandreportedthatsheattendedatwo-dayworkshopattheKing <br />Kamehameha Hotel. The workshop was the Rural Development Council Spring <br />4 <br /> <br />
