She would like to have the awards <br />ceremony held in Kona for2006because the new Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort <br />and Spa, the former Kona Surf, will be open. She offered herassistance in <br />securing the location in Waikoloa since she knows the marketing director at the <br />Hilton Waikoloa. <br />4. Equal Pay Day <br />D. Pung reported that she was disappointed with the lack of community <br />involvementbecause CSWbrought in a very worthwhile guest speaker, <br />Ah Quon McElrath. A. McElrath challenged CSW to see what the committee <br />was doing to help women out. <br />M. Lake stated that CSW could discuss this issue further at the training meeting <br />in July. <br />5. Mentoring <br />L. Guluzzy reported that the mentoring project has been scheduled for <br />May 29, 2004 at 11 a.m. in Oodles of Noodles in Kona. She will be attending the <br />event representing CSW. <br />6. Dress for Success/Fashion Furlough <br />On hold. <br />B. Health <br />1. Womens Health Month <br />L. Guluzzy reported that Dale Suezaki has been able to secure two speakers <br />from the mainland who are experts in financial issues. A seminar will be <br />scheduled on September 24, 2004 for womens financial health in South Kona. <br />Location to be determined at a later date. Another seminar will be scheduled on <br />September 14, 2004 for womens legal help with speakers M. Masunaga and <br />Kim Jackson. <br />E.TakazawareportedthatsheemailedJ.ViernestheminutesfortheWomens <br />Health Month subcommittee meeting, but it got lost in transit. A hard copy will be <br />handdeliveredtoJ.ViernesfordistributiontoCSWmembers.Inaddition,she <br />will meet with J. Viernes to obtain a copy of last years grant proposal since she <br />willbedraftingthisyearsgrantproposal. <br />CSWdecidedtomeetasasubcommitteeafterlunchfollowingnextmonths <br />meeting to discuss Womens Health Month. <br />L. Guluzzy requested more copies of a health checklist that the Hawaii State <br />CommissionontheStatusofWomen(HSCSW)distributed.Shewouldliketo <br />receive them as they come out rather than at the end of the year. <br />3 <br /> <br />
