L. Guluzzy made a motion to remove this item from the agenda. P. Newland <br />seconded the motion. D. Pung said she spoke to B. Iramina and s <br />interested in working something out. B. Iramina does not have t <br />wishes that she could get a volunteer to run the program since she has all these <br />ideas. D. Pung offered to contact B. Iramina and ask her to provide some <br />information. Since D. Pung offered to follow up with B. Iramina, the motion was <br />withdrawn. <br />B. Health <br />1. WomenÓs Health Month <br />M. Masunaga reported that she will be coordinating a seminar in Kona on issues <br />that women may be interested in. She will ask Dale Suezaki to d <br />course on financial planning. L. Guluzzy expressed her interest in participating <br />depending upon the dates since she already has a commitment. <br />M. Lake reported that she is waiting for the statistical study on the attendance for <br />WomenÓs Health Month events from the Hawaii State Commission on the Status <br />of Women (HSCSW). Data is being collected by calling the different <br />organizations. <br />M. Masunaga noted that D. SuezakiÓs workshop was featured in Hawaii Woman <br />Magazine. <br />P. Newland mentioned that she would like to do a similar event as last year at <br />Pahoa High and Intermediate School and at the UHH. <br />E. Takazawa said that she has an interest in an alternative heal <br />C. Liaison <br />1. HSCSW <br />M. Lake reported that she has been attending the HSCSW meetings. The next <br />HSCSW meeting will be held on Friday, March 12, 2004, from 10:00 a.m. to <br />12:00 p.m. The meeting has been changed from every month to quarterly <br />meetings. She offered the last HSCSW minutes for interested members to <br />review. <br />M. Masunaga reported that the HSCSW is planning a press conference for Equal <br />Pay Day on April 20, 2004 at the State Capitol. <br />A report from A. Hikida Tasaka, HSCSW, was distributed to CSW members. <br />2. Legislative Update <br />M. Lake reported that she has been attending the Hawaii WomenÓs Coalition <br />meeting. She encouraged CSW members to submit testimony on bills. She has <br />been keeping in touch with A. Hikida Tasaka, Executive Director of HSCSW, <br />because the bills are being changed.
