willing to serve on CSW. She reviewed the following four applications: <br />Laura Guluzzy, Kona; Paulette Ke, Volcano; Kristine Kubat, Pahoa <br />Kathryn Swain, Pahoa. C. Hara asked M. Lake when her application was <br />submitted because it wasn't here. She said she hadn't submitted it yet. <br />Being that M. Lake resides in Ka'u and has attend many of our meetings in <br />Hilo and in Waimea, the committee agreed that she would be an ideal <br />candidate. <br />After some discussion, the four applicants were ranked accordingly: <br />1. Laura Guluzzy <br />2. Paulette Ke <br />3. Kristine Kubat <br />4. Kathryn Swain <br />C. Hara mentioned that there are two potential candidates from Kona, but <br />their applications have not been received yet. CSW will continu <br />applications. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A. New Committees <br />None. <br />B. Sponsorships and Co-Sponsorships <br />None. <br />C. Guest Speakers <br />S. Shirachi Gonsalves reported that Dr. Alton Okinaka will be a luncheon <br />guest speaker on Friday, May 16, at 11:30 a.m. in the Nihon Restaurant <br />following the CSW meeting. <br />D. Nominating Committee <br />C. Hara reported that CSW needs to elect a nominating committee for the <br />upcoming election in June. M. Andrews made a motion to elect B. Iramina, <br />S. Nakoa, and S. Tanaka to serve on the committee. P. Newland seconded <br />the motion. The motion was passed with S. Shirachi Gonsalves abstaining. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Next meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, May 16, at 10:00 a.m. in Hilo. <br />Location to be announced. <br />B. Schedules <br />The CSW Retreat has been scheduled for June 13, from 12:00 to 4:30 p.m. in <br />Kona or relocated to Waimea if S. Nakoa and M. Masunaga are unab <br />attend. The regular CSW meeting will be scheduled from 10:00 to <br />5 <br /> <br />
