Mr. Sakaguchi asked if they could advance to agenda item 17, as he needed to leave the <br />meeting. <br />17. DISCUSSION ON DATE FOR NEXT MEETING AND ITEMS TO BE PLACED <br />ON ITS AGENDA <br />The Chair stated he felt they should work on their recommendation list before hearing <br />any more department presentations. <br />Ms. Nicholson felt they could talk to a smaller department, like Research and <br />Development, at the same meeting. <br />Ms. Garson pointed out that next on the list of priorities was the Department of Parks and <br />Recreation, and then Research and Development. <br />Mr. Joseph said they should look at finalizing their last few meeting dates first. Everyone <br />indicated they could appear at the December 7 meeting except for Mr. Sakaguchi, who said he <br />needed to check his schedule. However, a quorum would still be met, so December 7, 2006, was <br />settled upon as the next meeting date. <br />Mr. Joseph suggested that after the December 7 meeting, the next meeting be held on <br />December 19 instead of December 21 because of the holidays. All commissioners except Mr. <br />Sakaguchi confirmed December 19, 2006, would work for them. <br />2007. <br />Ms. Garson reminded the commissioners that their report would be due on January 15, <br />The commissioners agreed to a last meeting date of January 9, 2006. <br />Mr. Joseph said that on December 19 and January 9, there should be no time limitations <br />on the length of the meetings. Ms. Nicholson said she had to be somewhere by 1:30 p.m. on <br />December 19, 2006. <br />December 7, 2006, December 19, 2006, and January 9, 2007, were settled upon as the <br />final meeting dates. <br />(Mr. Sakaguchi left the meeting at 12:0 7 p. m.) <br />The secretary asked the commissioners if they wanted to hear from both Parks and <br />Recreation as well as Research and Development on December 7, 2006. Ms. Nicholson asked <br />whether the Council had approved a new grants writer position, or whether it was in the works. <br />Ms. Stremski said she believed Mr. Dworsky got clerical help, too. <br />Mr. Joseph stated that he did not really want to talk to Parks due to the limited time <br />frame, but he would go along with whatever the others wanted.
