STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Alice Moon, Community and Public Relations Specialist Î Alice Moon Co. Î <br />representing the DVIAT Public Awareness Committee, Chair. The goal of this <br />Committee is to develop a year round public awareness campaign targeting <br />specific markets. They would like to interface and offer assistance to the FVAC. <br />Currently they are developing a plan to reach 6 markets, then obtain funding. <br />There will be a videoconference meeting at the East and West ProsecutorÓs <br />Office this month contact Alice M. <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />A.P. Barry Î County legal clarification of items per 5-23-03 FVAC minutes <br />response from Lincoln Ashida. There are no liability concerns w <br />entering schools regarding our poster project. <br />There is nothing in the code that legally or ethically prohibits FVAC from soliciting <br />donations from the FVAC discretionary funds in the budget. <br />Mitch Roth indicated that there are no funds available regarding funds <br /> for transportation for DV victims from their Victims Witness funds <br /> this time. <br />B.Patti B. -Finalize FVAC report to Mayor for 2002 Î 2003 on the gaps, <br />improvements and possible solutions on domestic violence issues. <br />Commissioners read the report prepared by the Chairwoman and e-mail it to <br />th <br />Patti if they have additional input no later than August 8. Lincoln A. Î in <br />reference to the need for better security in the Courts in the report, the <br />Commission could recommend that the Mayor approach Governor Lingle about <br />the unsafe courts before a situation arises where someone is critically injured. <br />The courts have been unsafe for many years. Linda S. we need to <br />issue about the State cuts in funding which will affect the State and County <br />agencies. <br />Patti B. Î session end report to the Mayor of the FVACÓs 2002- 2003 on the <br />commissionÓs projects and accomplishments. Report to be present <br />mayor mid August.
