DISCUSSION OF APPROVAL OF DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br />SOLID WASTE DIVISION RULES: <br /> <br />Will continue revisions. <br /> <br />Bell will clarify the Department rules format further with Corpo <br />. <br /> <br />Deferred until drafts are revised with consistent formatting. <br />DISCUSSION OF FISCAL YEAR 2004-2005 DEPARTMENT BUDGET: <br /> <br />The Department Accountant will attend the next meeting to discuss the departmentÓs <br />proposed operation and CIP budgets. <br /> <br />Department budget will be a standing item on the September commission agenda each year. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />7.: <br />MANDATORY RECYCLING: <br /> <br />Ono made a motion that the department initiates a program to develop a mandatory <br />recycling plan. Frankel seconded the motion. After further discussion relating to the <br />need for having infrastructure in place and establishing a master plan, Ono withdrew <br />the motion. <br /> <br />Bell will include a mandatory recycling update in the monthly DirectorÓs Report to the <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Bell will provide a draft of an annual update on the Integrated <br />Management Plan at the January Commission meeting, with a final expected at the <br />February meeting.
