GANIGAN: Nobody ever approached me or asked me if I wanted representation. <br />CHAIR: Did you ask? <br />GANIGAN: Huh? <br />CHAIR: Did you ask? <br />GANIGAN: Yeah, I asked- <br />KI: - -You asked for representation? <br />GANIGAN: I didn't call them, but I asked for advice from the UPW. <br />CHAIR: So they're going to represent you, is that right? <br />GANIGAN: Yeah. <br />KK: That's why I'm asking- <br />KAMELAMELA: - -So to answer Mr. Kawahara's question about Mr. Jose and Mr. Keliikoa. <br />Yes, they had asked for representation, and so what I did, I did one <br />independent investigation first, because we had to make a determination as to <br />whether whatever was being complained of was within the scope and course of <br />employment. And then I made a determination that it was, because he was <br />complaining about somehow what he's doing on the outside is affecting what <br />he's supposed to be doing.
