DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE REPORT <br />None <br />CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT <br />Chair Replogle thanked Vice Chair Hannah Springer for chairing the past <br />two meetings. Ms. Springer provided Chair Replogle with a brief update. <br />Chair Replogle read an article regarding the Commission to the <br />Commissioners that appeared in the County of Hawaii Employees <br />Newsletter for the month of February, 2006. <br />Chair Replogle read a memo received from Stanley Iwamoto from the <br />Department of Finance who indicated that Debbie Chang and Larry Brown <br />from the Planning Department would be willing to speak to this <br />Commission regarding shoreline easements. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />• Commissioner Kenneth Kaneshiro provided an updated list of the sorted <br />survey forms. (Please see attached) <br />• Commissioner Kalani Flores distributed the 2006 Assessment Criteria <br />Form. <br />• Commissioners discussed the various options on how to proceed with the <br />sorted list of survey forms. It was decided that the commissioners present <br />would divide into three working groups. <br />Recess taken at 10:30 a.m. <br />Reconvened at 10:35 a.m. <br />Commissioners worked together as a group and completed one survey <br />form (Honolulu Landing) applying the 2006 Assessment Criteria Form. <br />While applying this Assessment Criteria Form, the commissioners decided <br />that the first category under Criteria 3, "Testimony and /or letters of support <br />received for site or project," that the total points this category can receive <br />is either a "2" or "3." Two (2) points should be given if the property <br />received one submittal and three (3) points for two or more submittals. <br />This procedure should be applied strictly to this category only. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Ruth Walker to complete only Criteria 1 of <br />the Assessment Form and should the subject parcel does not meet the <br />requirement of Criteria 1, the property should be eliminated. This motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Paul Campbell. <br />2 <br />
