Supplement to the Old Kailua-Kona Landfill Workplan <br /> "Communication, Security, and Public Interaction Plan" <br /> This exhibit may be attached to the CAFO <br /> The components of the Communications, Security, and Public Interaction Plan consists of: <br /> • Contact Information <br /> • On-site communications System <br /> • Radio Distribution List <br /> • Off-Site Communication <br /> • Site Security <br /> • Public and Media Liaison <br /> The following outline entails components of the Communications, Security, and Public <br /> Interaction Plan which will include the Right-to-Know Public Relations portion. <br /> ❖ Contact Information List <br /> ➢ Comprehensive list will be prepared as part of the Pre-Plan <br /> ■ Contact Position or role in Command Structure <br /> ■ Contact Name <br /> ■ Emergency Number(911 or 24 hour contact number) <br /> ■ Office Number <br /> ■ Cell-phone Number <br /> ■ Home Number <br /> ■ Pager Number(if carried) <br /> ■ Fax Number <br /> ■ E-mail Address (if available) <br /> ➢ In Emergency situation, list can be built quickly by copying business cards of <br /> participants. <br /> •'• On-site Communications <br /> • ➢ Effective communications are vital: <br /> ➢ Instructions should flow through Incident Command structure hierarchy. <br /> ➢ On major fires, meetings should be organized twice a day. Safety meetings in morning, <br /> and debriefings in afternoon. <br /> ➢ All group leaders should participate in meetings, all team members should participate in <br /> morning safety meetings. <br /> ❖ Radio Distribution List <br /> ➢ Incident Commander(if on site) <br /> ➢ Site Commander <br /> ➢ Incident command Post(base station) <br /> ➢ Fire Fighting Group Leader <br /> ➢ Landfill Staff and Equipment Group Leader <br /> ➢ Health and Safety Group Leader <br /> ➢ Logistics Support Group Leader <br /> ➢ Engineering Support Group Leader(if on site) <br /> ➢ Spotters working with heavy equipment(or PCS radios can be used). <br /> ❖ Off-Site Communications <br /> ➢ Achieved via telephone(land line or cellular). <br /> ➢ Communications logs should be maintained. <br />
