Emergency Response Organization <br /> Source:County of Hawaii Emergency Operations Plan <br /> The County's EOC is located in the Civil Defense office which is part of the Hawaii Public <br /> Safety Complex on Kapiolani Street in Hilo. The facility is designed to have self-sufficient <br /> enclosed live-in capacity for 75 persons for two weeks and is equipped with the following: <br /> • Communications radio and telephone links to the rest of the County and the State; <br /> • Warning systems controls; <br /> • Meeting area capacity of 50 persons to accommodate the team; <br /> • Information such as maps, contact information, departmental plans and SOPS; <br /> • 24-hour personal accommodations (e.g.,restrooms, shower, food preparation area); <br /> • Standby water and power(i.e., 2 emergency generators and associated fuel storage); <br /> • Designed for radiation protection factor(PF) of at least 100. <br /> The EOC is not in the tsunami evacuation zone, flood hazard zone, or high-risk lava hazard <br /> zone(Lava Hazard Zone 1 or 2). <br /> 18-2 Hawaii County Multi-Hazard Mitigation Plan <br />
