(33) Amending Section 603.3.2. Section 603.3.2 is amended to read: <br />"603.3.2. The premise owner or responsible person shall have the <br />backflow assembly tested at the time of installation, repair, or <br />relocation or when required by the administrative authority. See <br />the Board of Water Supply and the Department of Health <br />regulations for annual testing and reporting requirements." <br />(34) Amending Section 603.3.3. Section 603.3.3 is amended by deleting the last sentence: <br />"Installations elevated more than five (5) feet (1524 mm) above the <br />floor or grade shall be provided with a permanent platform capable <br />or supporting a tester or maintenance person." <br />(NOTE: Section 603.4.6. Protection from Lawn Sprinklers and <br />Irrigation Systems does not allow a double check valve assembly <br />to be an approved device.)" <br />(35) Amending Section 603.4.4.1. Section 603.4.4.1 is amended to read: <br />"603.4.4.1. Heat exchangers. Heat exchangers utilizing an <br />essentially toxic transfer fluid shall be separated from the potable <br />water by double -wall construction. An air gap open to the <br />atmosphere shall be provided between the two walls. Heat <br />exchangers utilizing an essentially nontoxic transfer fluid shall be <br />permitted to be of single -wall construction. <br />On every heat exchanger or heat pump, there shall be posted a <br />readily visible, durable sign stating: "Potable water heating <br />system. Check heat exchanger for leaks before adding <br />refrigerant." <br />603.4.4.1.1. Essentially Nontoxic Transfer Fluids. Fluids <br />having a Gosselin rating of one (1), including: propylene glycol; <br />mineral oil; polydimethylsiloxane, hydrochlorotluorocarbon, <br />chlorofluorocarbon and hydrofluorocarbon refrigerants; and FDA - <br />approved boiler water additives for steam boilers. <br />603.4.4.1.2. Essentially Toxic Transfer Fluids. Soil, waste or <br />gray water and fluids having a Gosselin rating of two (2) or more <br />including ethylene glycol, hydrocarbon oils, ammonia refrigerants <br />and hydrazine." <br />(36) Adding Section 603.4.12.1.
