(68) Amending Section 715.1. Section 715.1 is amended by deleting "two (2) feet (610 <br />mm)" and inserting in lieu thereof "five feet (1.5 m)." <br />(69) Deleting Section 716.0. <br />Section 716.0 is deleted. <br />(70) Amending Section 717.0. Section 717.0 is amended to read: <br />"717.0 Size of Building Sewers <br />The minimum size of any building sewer shall be determined on <br />the basis of the total number of fixture units drained by such sewer, <br />in accordance with Table 7 -8, except that collection sewers under <br />applicable conditions may be sized by recognized engineering <br />design practices when approved by the administrative authority. <br />No building sewer shall be smaller than the building drain unless <br />approved by the administrative authority." <br />(71) Amending Section 718.1. Section 718.1 is amended to read: <br />"718.1. Building sewers shall run in practical alignment and at a <br />uniform slope of not less than one fourth (1/4) of an inch per foot <br />(20.9 mm per m) toward the point of disposal. Where it is <br />impractical due to the depth of the street sewer or to the structural <br />features or to the arrangement of any building or structure to obtain <br />a slope of one fourth (1/4) of an inch per foot (20.9 min per m), <br />any such pipe or piping four (4) inches (101.6 mm) or larger may <br />have a lesser slope when approved engineering methods have been <br />used to design the system and when such a system has first been <br />approved by the administrative authority." <br />(72) Amending Section 718.3. Section 718.3 is amended by: <br />a) Deleting "two (2) feet (610 mm)" and inserting in lieu thereof <br />"five (5) feet (1.5 m)." <br />b) At the end of the last sentence adding, "or as approved by the <br />administrative authority." <br />(73) Amending Section 719.1. Section 719.1 is amended to read: <br />"719.1 Cleanouts shall be placed inside the building near the <br />connection between the building drain and building sewer or <br />installed between the exterior wall line and five (5) feet (1.5 m) <br />outside the building at the lower end of a building drain and <br />extended to grade.
