MR. CARVALHO: Either day is fine with me, but I was just thinking that the sooner we get this <br />done and over to Elections, the better for them. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: That would make it Wednesday, November 3 0, 2011, one day sooner. Do I <br />have a motion? <br />Ms. Ugalde moved to hold a regular meeting <br />of the Redistricting Commission on Wednesday, <br />November 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Seconded by <br />Mr. Kanuha and carried by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Commissioners Carvalho, Kahawaiola` a, <br />Kahui, Kanuha, Melrose, Middlesworth, <br />Poindexter, Ugalde, and Chair Siracusa. <br />Noes: None. <br />Absent: None. <br />MS. EOFF: And as we move through these meetings, if we do need to change something and the <br />room is available, we can do that, as long as we notice the public. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: We have now, I believe, have set our schedule for all of the meetings and we <br />will all have December off, and Pat will hopefully have enough time to do what she has to do. <br />MR. UDOVIC: Madam Chair, I think we are probably going to have to have a meeting in <br />December, because we have to prepare the narrative. The Commission is going to have to agree <br />on that as well; the report. I'm sure that Ms. Nakamoto and I, and Karen will be working on the <br />report; but you are going to have to review it to make some corrections. At some point in time we <br />will have to schedule a meeting in December with respect to that report and the Final Plan. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: But we can't really do it until we know that they have completed at least the <br />first draft of the report. <br />MR. MIDDLESWORTH: Why don't we just leave this Communication on the agenda for every <br />meeting and then we can decide as we get closer whether we need to change things. <br />MR. UDOVIC: Yes, and my point was only that you are not going to have December off; we are <br />going to have to do some work in December. <br />MR. MELROSE: I think what Mike said was good; we're setting targets, but just to keep it on <br />the agenda so that we re -visit it periodically. <br />CHR. SIRACUSA: I think that's a good idea; Karen, will you make a note of that. So, we have <br />basically done that. We have a motion to close file on this communication; and now we are ready <br />to vote on it. <br />14 <br />
