Mr. Melrose moved to tentatively schedule two
public hearings for 6:00 p.m., November 21, 2011
in West Hawaii and 6:00 p.m. November 22, 2011
in East Hawaii. Seconded by Ms. Ugalde and
carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Commissioners Carvalho, Kahawaiola` a,
Kanuha, Melrose, Middlesworth,
Poindexter, Ugalde, and Chair Siracusa.
Noes: None.
Absent: Commissioner Kahui.
CHR. SIRACUSA: We now have our public hearings scheduled.
MR. MELROSE: Is 6:00 p.m. the appropriate time for a public hearing?
CHR. SIRACUSA: Yes. People work until 5:00 p.m.
MR. KAHAWAIOLA`A: Madam Chair, I just want to let you know that Commissioner Kahui is
here.
CHR. SIRACUSA: Aloha, Bo; thank you for getting here.
MS. EOFF: There may be one more date we need to consider. After the two public hearings, we
need to reconvene and decide on a Final Plan. I checked on Wednesday, November 3 0, 2011 or
Thursday, December 1, 2011; either of those two days are available. I know Pat Nakamoto will
need to get our Final Plan as soon as she can in December, so I was looking at either the 3 01h of
November or the 1St or December to meet again.
CHR. SIRACUSA: Okay, are we looking at a specific time?
MS. EOFF: It could be any time.
CHR. SIRACUSA: I'm totally free on both days; I can make it either time on either day. How
about the rest of you?
MR. CARVALHO: The 301h is fine for me.
MR. KANUHA: I'm fine for either day.
MR. MELROSE: It's my 601h birthday on November 3 0th. Actually, either the morning on
December 1St or whatever on November 30th is okay.
CHR. SIRACUSA: So it appears that only one person has a preference and that is Joseph.
13
