DEFINITIONS <br />Key Concepts <br />Action: A specific Development, shared between a government <br />Program, Event, Regulation, Plan, or agency and a community group. <br />Study intended to help implement a New Action: An action idea that has <br />strategy. been shared with a stakeholder <br />Action Idea: An idea that is <br />suggested by an individual or an <br />individual on behalf of an <br />organization where there has not yet <br />been stakeholder or community <br />input. An action idea could <br />become a new action <br />after stakeholder discussion and <br />when 1) group agreement is <br />reached, and 2) a Lead Solution <br />Partner or Potential Partner is <br />identified. <br />Action Type: A column within the <br />matrix which identifies whether the <br />action is a Development (primarily a <br />project that would result in <br />something being built), a Program, <br />an Event, a Regulation, a Plan or a <br />Study. The purpose of this column is <br />to clearly identify what each action <br />is calling for so that the intent is clear <br />to readers. <br />Focus Area: Principle themes within <br />our Community -Based Vision and <br />Living Action Plan. All actions fall <br />into one of six (6) Focus Areas. The <br />diversity of the Focus Areas ensures <br />that our Plan remains balanced and <br />sustainable. <br />Lead Solution Partner (LSP): <br />Organizations or agencies who take <br />the lead role for achieving an <br />action. Lead partnerships are often <br />group or received support from the <br />community and has a Lead Solution <br />Partner or Potential Partner <br />identified. New actions are <br />identified with a star in the matrix. <br />Overarching Vision: The 20 -year <br />Vision collectively articulated and <br />embraced by community members. <br />The overarching Vision sets the <br />foundation for the Plan. <br />Parking Lot - Action Ideas: A <br />document which contains action <br />ideas for future consideration by the <br />community. <br />Potential Partner: Organizations or <br />agencies who are not currently <br />committed to implementing an <br />action but could potentially <br />command a lead role. Potential <br />Partners are crucial stakeholders <br />who are listed in the Plan for future <br />dialogue and recruitment. <br />Revised Actions /Strategies: Existing <br />actions and strategies where non - <br />substantive changes were made to <br />improve readability, clarity, and flow <br />of sentence. <br />Strategies: A major initiative <br />designed to support the <br />achievement of a Focus Area in our <br />community's overarching vision.
