meetings with Lead Solution Partners to discuss the focus and plan the desired <br />outcomes of the SDAT Program. <br />After a preliminary site visit, in May 2009, a team of AIA architects visited Hilo and met <br />with key stakeholders and Lead Solution Partners during a three -day workshop that <br />included two public meetings, with approximately 130 community members in <br />attendance. <br />The SDAT Program provided a unique opportunity to assess Downtown Hilo and the EDH <br />2025 Plan from the perspective of social, economic, and environmental sustainability; <br />the recommendations from the SDAT team offered guidance on ways to refine the <br />Action Plan to better promote conscientious implementation. <br />Community members engage and ask questions at the two SDAT Public Meetings <br />Shortly after the SDAT Program, detailed work on the content of the Action Plan begun. <br />The process is documented here. <br />Step One: <br />Produce a preliminary version of draft text that incorporated prior input <br />As previously mentioned, during the course of the implementation process the <br />VisionKeepers collected recommendations from Lead Solution Partners on ways to <br />clarify and refine existing actions. In addition, community members were polled on <br />potential "new actions" during each of the two EDH 2025 Town Meetings.
