8. Define the future of the VisionKeepers to best ensure <br />implementation of the EDH 2025 Plan. <br />The VisionKeepers continually evaluate themselves, their purpose, and <br />their role in implementing the EDH 2025 Plan. <br />VThe Organizational Governance and Mission Statement were revised <br />in March 2008. <br />VThe VisionKeepers held a phone conference with Steven Ames, Long <br />R,a /nge Planner /Visioning Expert Consultant, to discuss next steps. <br />�i/ Throughout the year, the VisionKeepers discussed in what capacity <br />they can best support the EDH 2025 Plan and have considered the <br />possibility of evolving into another type of entity in the future. <br />9. Host a 2nd EDH 2025 Meeting to showcase ongoing Actions and <br />Easy Win projects and provide opportunities for community <br />engagement. <br />VThe 2nd Town Meeting was held on September 30, 2008 with over 250 <br />attendees. <br />1O.Begin preparing for the five -year Action Plan Update <br />Community Review Process (2009- 2010). <br />11.Meet with Community Development Plan Action Committees to <br />distribute the Implementation Guide. <br />VThe VisionKeeper's Guide to Implementing Your Community Plan was <br />distributed to the Mayor's Office, State Office of Planning, County Council, <br />and Planning Department Planners between May - September 2008. <br />12.Identify opportunities to promote Plan implementation in <br />government. <br />VIn September 2008, Kylie Alexandra, EDH 2025 Community Planning <br />Assistant (CPA), began attending Planning Department CDP Team <br />meetings with other Planners and CPAs. <br />EnVision Downtown Hilo 2025 VisionKeepers Progress Report July 2007 - December 2008 Page 6 <br />
