VisionKeepers Highlights: <br />The VisionKeeper's Guide to Implementing Your Community <br />Plan was completed in April 2008. It was written to capture the <br />first two years of implementation and the lessons learned. The <br />Guide has been distributed to the Mayor, County Council, the <br />Planning Department, Lead Solution Partners, the former Friends <br />of Downtown Hilo Steering Committee, as well as other Visioning <br />and Implementation Groups in Oregon and Australia. The <br />Guide will also be presented to the new Community <br />Development Plan Action Committees on Hawaii Island, as a <br />resource guide to assist them in implementing their Community <br />Plans. <br />The Action Plan Matrix is now updated. <br />In September 2007, LeAna Gloor was <br />contracted to produce the Revised Action Plan <br />Matrix - Community Review Draft. A year later, <br />the project was completed and the result is a <br />more concise, visually interesting online version <br />of the Action Plan, which includes status reports <br />on initiated Actions. Headings were revised <br />and new columns were created, such as Action <br />Type and Potential Partners. Sustainability <br />Measures were also added and the new icons <br />present the reader with a more comprehensible <br />document. (See Appendix) The draft Plan will <br />be reviewed by the community during the Five - <br />Year Action Plan Update. <br />The 2nd EDH 2025 Town Meeting was held on September 30, 2008 at the <br />Theater. The event featured <br />�_'Jwr_,� discussion on Downtown F <br />Historic Palace <br />a lively panel <br />ilo - Its Past, <br />Present and Future, displays by Lead Solution <br />Partners, and lots of food and entertainment. <br />The over 250 attendees were provided the <br />opportunity to experience keypad polling, <br />where they were asked several questions on <br />what they would like to see happen in <br />Downtown Hilo.
