tf 0"Ov1n 00*11town Hypo <br />" - <br />A►�• The Mission of the EDH 2025 VisionKeepers is to energize, guide, inspire, and <br />strengthen partnerships within the community to implement the Plon. <br />0 <br />Aloha! <br />On behalf of the EDH2O25 VisionKeepers, I am pleased to present the EnVision Downtown <br />Hilo 2025 VisionKeepers Progress Report for the period, January 2009 — June 2010. If you are <br />not familiar with EnVision Downtown Hilo 2025: A Community -Based Vision and Living Action <br />Plan (EDH 2025) please visit our website at www.co.hawaii.hi.us /edh2025. You will find past <br />Progress Reports as well as other information posted on our website. <br />This report is divided into four sections: <br />1. EDH 2025 Highlights focuses on important events and milestones that have been <br />achieved in the past 18 months. <br />2. VisionKeepers Report includes a list of past and present members and details how the <br />VisionKeepers' activities have contributed to the fulfillment of their roles and <br />responsibilities. <br />3. Community Involvement documents community participation in the EDH 2025 <br />implementation process. <br />4. Status of the Action Plan includes updates on the implementation progress for each of <br />the six Focus Areas and includes a list of committed Lead Solution Partners who <br />implement actions in the EDH 2025 Plan. We wish to give special appreciation and <br />thanks to our Lead Solution Partners. It is their dedication and determination that ensures <br />the community's Vision is achieved. <br />In our July 2007 December 2008 Progress Report, we looked forward with enthusiasm to <br />initiating the EDH 2025: 5 -Year Action Plan Update. Periodic updates ensure that the EDH <br />2025 Plan stays alive (off the shelf!). In addition, one of the primary aims of community <br />involvement is to attract new people and partners into the implementation process, and this has <br />certainly been the case. Acknowledging the participation of new partners is another important <br />reason for updating the EDH 2025 Plan. Now, we can proudly report that the 5 -Year Action <br />Plan Update was completed on schedule! (See EDH 2025 Highlights for more information.) <br />Looking ahead, and in recognition of the financial challenges currently faced by the County of <br />Hawaii, the VisionKeepers decided to transition into a "VisionKeepers Network" that includes <br />
