Roles and Responsibilities <br />This section provides information on how the VisionKeepers met their Roles and Responsibilities <br />from January 2009 —June 2010. <br />1. Promote the EDH 2025 Plan 0 W — M <br />This is the primary responsibility of the Vision Keepers and is met both directly and indirectly <br />through the fulfillment of all their Roles and Responsibilities. <br />EDH 2025 Exhibits: <br />■ Earth Day Fair at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo, April 24, 2009. <br />.i Sustainability Fair at the University of Hawai'i at Hilo, September 4, 2009. <br />2. Support and encourage existing Lead Solution Partners to successfully <br />accomplish their actions. A <br />M Numerous Lead Solution Partner Gatherings were held, which afforded the opportunity to <br />network with each other and encouraged the sharing of information and resources. <br />■ Lead Solution Partners also attended Working Group Sessions as part of the Sustainable <br />Design assessment Team Program. <br />■ In 2008, EDH 2025 obtained council discretionary funds to utilize for Easy Wins. EDH <br />partnered with the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association, who did a fantastic job on <br />the revitalization of Liholiho Park, which was completed in June 2009, and on the design <br />and installation of interpretive signage at Kalakaua Park and the Naha Stone at the Hilo <br />Public Library, both of which were unveiled to the public in December 2009. <br />3. Identify and outreach to new Lead Solution Partners. <br />Through networking and collaboration, many new partners have become involved in the <br />implementation of the EDH 2025 Plan. There are presently 41 committed Lead Solution <br />Partners, an increase from 18 in 2005, when the Plan was originally adopted. (See page 10 <br />for a complete list of Committed Lead Solution Partners.) <br />■ The Hilo High School Key Club has formed a youth committee, "EnVision Now," to begin <br />working on projects in Downtown Hilo.
