■ The VisionKeepers have connected with multiple Potential Partners including the Hawai'i <br />Island Economic Development Board, Disability Rights Hawaii, and the Hawaii <br />Community Collective. <br />4. Share information regarding current news and changes in and around <br />Downtown Hilo. <br />The VisionKeepers prepared press releases for all major EDH 2025 events, including the <br />Sustainable Design assessment Team Program, fiction Plan Update Open Houses, the <br />Vision Concept, and the proposed amendments to Chapter 25 (Zoning) of the Hawaii <br />County Code 1983 (2005 Edition), as amended. <br />■ The SDAT Program received front page coverage in the Hawai'i Tribune Herald. <br />■ Vision Keepers participated in numerous radio interviews. <br />■ The VisionKeepers worked closely with the Hilo Downtown Improvement association, and <br />EDH 2025 updates are regularly included in their "Around Downtown Column" in the <br />Hawaii Tribune Herald. <br />5. Host a Town Meeting to report progress of the Action Plan to the wider <br />community. <br />■ In 2009, two public meetings were held in conjunction with the Sustainable Design <br />Assessment Team program for Downtown Hilo. There were approximately 130 attendees at <br />the two meetings. <br />6. Showcase and celebrate Easy Wins. <br />d Liholiho Park was revitalized by the Hilo Downtown Improvement Association (HDLA) <br />with the work completed in June 2009. Periodic maintenance will be performed by the Hilo <br />High School Key Club /EnVision Now. <br />■ The Downtown Hilo Fire Safety Survey was conducted in July 2009 in a joint effort between <br />the Fire Department, Planning Department, Vision Keepers, and HDLG. <br />■ The Hilo Community Celebration of Family Day was held in November 2009 as part of the <br />Playful Cities USA project. <br />■ Interpretive Signs at Kalakaua Park and by the Naha Stones at the Hilo Public Library were <br />installed and dedicated in December 2009.
