East Hawai‘i Recognizes Volunteers with a Special Lu‘au Celebration!

<br />What would we do without our dedicated volunteers? Each year we set aside time to recognize
<br />the contributions of our amazing volunteers. This year East Hawai‘i staff held a Lu‘au Celebration
<br />on December 2nd to honor and thank our volunteers who help to keep CSE going strong. The day was
<br />complete with special gifts, prizes donated by local business, yummy traditional lu‘au food prepared by
<br />staff and friends and some great entertainment offered by Kawelo Kong Ke‘e. From the colorful
<br />decorations, handmade leis, authentic ti leaf skirts and beautiful music, we hope the volunteers were
<br />reminded just how much we appreciate them.
<br />
<br />We also played a number of fun games at the celebration. Below you can see volunteers taking part in
<br />a unique “Tutu Says” competition. If Tutu says, “touch your head” then that’s what you should do, even if
<br />Tutu tricks you by touching her nose. You’ve got to watch out for those tricky Tutus!
<br />
<br />A big Mahalo to our volunteers and also to the dedicated CSE staff for all their hard work in making this
<br />year’s celebration another huge success.
