<br />HAMAKUAÓS SENIOR VOLUNTEER <br />concerns. She works tirelessly to ensure <br />that our kupunaÓs needs are met. Some of <br />PILAR ASIA <br />the Hamakua seniors have referred to <br />Darlette as Ðan angelÑ. Darlette wanted to <br />let the kupunas know that each mahalo and <br />thank you she receives deeply touches her. <br />In turn, she would like to take this <br />opportunity to extend the most heartfelt and <br />sincere thank you to those she assists. She <br />is humbled by their trust and <br />friendshipÈ.ÐYou, my dear kupunaÓs, have <br />enriched my life more than words can sayÑ. <br />Darlette MiguelÓs CSE office is located at the <br />Hale Hauoli Senior Center in Honokaa. <br />Ò <br />Her office phone number is (808) 775-7503. <br />It is the hope and dreams of many of our <br />seniors to be able to live independently in <br />their own homes during their golden years. <br />For the past 7 years, Pilar Asia, a dedicated <br />and loving senior companion has helped <br />vulnerable seniors maintain their <br />independence through her work as a senior <br />companion. She respects and honors those <br />under her care, always treating them as the <br />individuals they are. On any given day, Pilar <br />escorts them to the doctor, pharmacy, <br />library, church, clubs, community activities <br />and the laundromat. She is knowledgeable <br />of programs and advises qualifying seniors. <br />Pilar is emotionally vested and spends one <br />on one time with those she helps.
