C. Kitaoka suggested meeting at the schools with the students or finding the girls <br />and referring them in the right direction and figuring out what the needs are by the <br />end of the school year. CSW can expand on it the next school year. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />A. CSW Duties <br />J. Viernes reported that she will no longer be able to continue as staff secretary to <br />the committee. Therefore, the committee assignment and budget will transition over <br />to the Prosecutor’s Office effective July 1. <br /> <br />N. Kelly said there will be a new prosecutor in the fall so the Prosecutor’s Office <br />agreed to take upon the committee for a year. There will be some changes with the <br />meals. <br /> <br />J. Viernes offered to assist D. Down with the Women’s Hall of Fame and also with <br />the transition. <br /> <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />A. Next Meeting <br />The next meeting will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in the Puna <br />Conference Room in Hilo. The agenda shall include the nominating committee and <br />E. Cabatu’s presence at the meeting. <br /> <br />The May meeting will be held on Friday, May 18, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. in Kona. The <br />agenda shall include the election of officers and the budget. <br /> <br />F. Gomes announced that the UH Commission on the Status of Women is <br />th <br />celebrating their 25 anniversary this year and they have some events they will be <br />planning. At the UH campus, they will be doing brown bag lunches and the focus is <br />to have a speaker and possible topics that would be relevant, interesting, and helpful <br />for the community as it relates to the status of women. They will be having <br />Luoluo Hong, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, speaking on April10, 2012, from <br />12:00-2:00 p.m. at the UH campus. F. Gomes suggested that the UH CSW and the <br />committee co-sponsor the events and share the costs. <br /> <br />B. Schedules <br />C.
