The 37th Annual Hawai‘i State Senior Softball Tournament was held August 7-9, 2012 and hosted by <br />the County of Kauai, Department of Parks and Recreation, at the Hanapepe Sports Complex in Hanapepe. <br />Twenty-one of the Hawai‘i Kupuna Softball League’s teams participated in this years’ three-day, seven division, <br />fifty-three team tournament. <br />On the final day of the tournament Hilo Pomaika‘i won the top spot in the A Division, Onomea Rangers <br />took the 4th spot in the C Division. Onipa‘a and Ka Nani O Honoka‘a won 1st and 2nd place respectively in <br />the E Division during a game that came down to one run. It was another close game for 1st and 2nd place in <br />F Division but Team Sports won 18-17 over Waiākea for the division title. In the G Division Pueo fought it <br />out and won 2nd place in Kauai. <br /> <br />Participating teams were: <br /> <br />A Division: Hilo Pomaika‘i, Honomū Rockets, Kona Gold <br />B Division: Kohala, Jackie Rey’s, Junk Yard Dogs <br />C Division: Hāmākua Coast, Onomea Rangers <br />D Division: Waimea Paniolo, Ku‘ikahi, Pu‘uwai Opio <br />E Division: Ka Nani O Honoka‘a, Hui O Na Kolohe, Kupuna Pride, and Onipa‘a <br />F Division: Waiākea, Pu‘ukapu, Team Sports, Local Boyz <br />G Division: Pueo, Kona Warriors <br /> <br />Kupuna News 8 Information and Assistance (808) 961-8777
