Start immediately on 56 acres given by Catholics & build parking lot SOCCER ( multi- sport) <br />complex. <br />Let's add Tennis Courts that can be used at night as well as tracks and other service to make for <br />a healther community. <br />Puna is ALL about basketball : Sports wise. <br />Want to see Frisbe Golf couse. <br />The pool, skatepark, field are great more recreutinal programming would be good. <br />It would be great if the county would build a soccer park too. <br />Wish there was a gym, a heated pool and some tennis courts. <br />How about a YMCA or similar family rec center, adjoining the pool? <br />Like the idea of the disk golf and the nice wooded areas to walk in. <br />Pool is good - but a community gym would be nice! <br />We need a REAL Public Gym. <br />Very pow, Q111WU11L vi parks per the number of people in Pahoa area compared with other <br />areas on Hawaii Island, and lack of facilities (pavilions, public meeting space, volleyball <br />courts, etc) at the parks that do exist. Some improvement seen recently but still poor. <br />Trails: Pedestrian & Bike /Skate <br />Track completed arund park for running, walking, or skating. <br />More bicycle paths with rest areas and parks along the way. <br />Please- we need walking /bike trails. <br />Would like to see botanical gardens, outdoor pavillion and performing arts center included in <br />the 57 -acre park area, plus a walking trail around the perimeter of the park. <br />Parks and Recreation Page 10 <br />
