Town Center Parks
I think the Central Business District would benefit from a nice botanic garden, full of tropicals
and palm trees. Perhaps some local businesses would donate plants if in return there were
placards or other identification providing free advertisements for those businesses that
donated plants.
r_vC, yvi iC ivvCz. their parks, and the parks need more support and better trails and more land
in areas in and around the town of Pahoa.
Could use more parks - small ones scattered throughout town.
There need to be more parks built in Pahoa and existing parks need to be improved and
expanded so they can meet the needs of the current generation of keiki and kupuna alike.
Town square, please, right in town. For example, right next to subway, between the Island
Naturals and cash and carry., and where Luquin's parking lot is. All three places should be parks,
with a few trees and sitting areas, not just one. That's what makes a town really attractive in
the long run. And then acquire a twenty or thirty foot wide path along the mauka side of the
road between the old pahoa town and the malama pahoa town, to provide a beautiful way to
get from one to the other. NYC is doing it in a major way. Everyone will be happy, business
owners and all, because people will want to be there and meet there, etc.
Bigger community garden!
Rarrantinn
Disc Golf course please!
Lean -to camping please!
Not enough going on like frisbee golf, ect.
Parks and Recreation Page 9
