D- many people feel unsafe and scared to visit Pahoa town after dark due to random <br />thuggery /violence. <br />D- more violence intervention and education for all needed areas ie: parents, mothers children <br />and DAds. Also services for substance abuse and homeless in area. <br />D- Mostly concerned w/ drinking & driving & "ice" /meth drugs. <br />D- Never had a problem as far as personal safety goes in Pahoa but have witnessed fights, drug <br />deals, underage drinking, and other activities that could be reduced just by having cops actually <br />doing their job. <br />D- Never have felt safe enough to walk the streets of Pahoa town. Have lived here 27 years and <br />haven't yet been to Luquin's! <br />D- Of what? I'm not from here and sometimes some of the derelicts look at me as I'm either an <br />intruder or the pretend not to see me at all and I have to go around them. There's nothing like <br />being hated for something that happened over half a century before I was born. At least I don't <br />feel threatened. <br />D- Our youth are exposed to too many illicit drugs and bad influences as they walk around <br />Pahoa town. <br />D- Pahoa still has youth gangs, street fights, and lack of safety after dark. <br />D- Pahoa town does not seem safe due to drug deals and violence <br />D- People on drugs can change the safety <br />D- Personal safety in Pahoa is generally good, although people who don't know that might feel <br />threatened by some of the street scene. <br />D- sometimes seems a lot of drunks are on the street - kinda scary. <br />D- The bums are always allowed to hang around the First Hawaiian Bank and the Cash N' Carry <br />store to conduct nepharious deals and or pan handle. <br />D- The public drinking & loitering has to go. <br />D- The roads at night are frightening, because so many people drink and use drugs and drive <br />around at night. <br />D- the teenagers often are forced to hustle for crystal meth & other drugs. Noisy late -night <br />bars attract drunks. Often escalations & fights occur. <br />D- There is a sense of danger from people on drugs and alcohol, which feels genuinely unstable <br />especially around teenage girls.. <br />D- There is too much crime and there are too many people breaking the law most of the time. <br />There is usually some knot head at the beach or in the town or at the park that can ruin the <br />entire experience. <br />D- There is too much public drinking and drug use. There appear to be no repercussions for <br />violations of the law. Too many repeat offenders are back on the street making it unsafe. <br />D- To much drug dealing <br />D- Too many drug dealer on streets. <br />D- Too many fights outside the PVC. I don't go there anymore because of it. <br />D- too many panhandles and drugies <br />D- Too many people wandering around at night for me to feel safe. <br />D- TOO MUCH DRUGS -ASSAULTS -RUDENESS IN General Need traffic light at MALAMA <br />JUNCTION <br />D- Too much Ice & drug addicts <br />Safety Page 2 <br />
