I- need more night lights. THIS! Especially at Woodland Center I- Need public restrooms, perhaps small bus depot. No compliance with ADA access reqts. I- need signs saying that thefts occur where ther is no security guard I- need walkways and pathways from one end of Pahoa to the other except for traffic intersection leading into town I- New street helps greatly, although shoulders are very much needed everywhere for safety. I- no side walks whatsoever!!... I- Nonsensical building codes, walking hazards, poor parking I- not enough side walks I- not safe for pedestrians, bicycles I- Obviously some intersections can be problematic however rather than put in red lights everywhere I think reducing speed limits can work as well. I- Other than drivers and traffic we feel very safe. I- Overall signage could be improved to help orient visitors to the town who don't know the lay of the land, so to speak I- pedestrian walkways are needed I- People driving vehicles that do not conform to road height, no insurance, no current safety sticker, talking on cell phone while driving, and cutting corners at intersections. I personally haven't had any bad experiences but I know not to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time of night in Pahoa. I- poor visibility coming out of stores and lack of sidewalks I- really need shoulder on road I- Road Safety? We really need more crosswalks, and a couple more streetlights in town would be great. When turning onto Village Road there are some corners where we cannot see who is coming at us. Maybe trim the plants back father? I- roads are unsafe for pedestrians in areas. I- roadways are not safe for bicyclists or pedestrians. I- Pahoa is unsafe for motorists, bicylists and pedestrians. I- Safety after dark can be treacherous if you're on foot due to no walkways. People tend to be courteous, but safety needs to be studied and improved, especially for the vulnerable and less mobile. I- see roads, sidewalks..... Community Policing I- see traffic and roads - very poor I- Seems safe enough ..... You may not want to walk down a shoulder-less ... non bike path road in the dead of a new moon night ... but for the most part town to me feels safe.... I- Shoulders, bike paths, sidewalks would make it more safe. Stop lights and arrows - traffic I- side walks. I- Sidewalk through town. Renovation of wooden sidewalk I- Sidewalks need to be redone creatively, say boardwalks connecting levels via ramps vs stairs, and handrails. I- Sidewalks please I- some intersections are dangerous. I- Something needs to be done near the malama entrance. I- Somewhat dangerous to walk or ride bikes in town. Safety Page 4
