• I love the character of the old times being preserved, the personal service you get from a small place. • The simplicity of Pahoa. • Most people are friendly, always willing to help others; the Aloha spirit is not overdeveloped. • Keep Pahoa old style plantation; put commercial at Malama only. • Clear vision of green - almost country (plantation) living. Blessed with the beauty of real Hawaii's style of living. • Love and appreciate the history of Pahoa town. Leave the historic town the way it is; we are losing sight of who we are as a Hawaiian people. • Old time appearance I like. • Small town feel, familiar faces; access to lava flow, Hilo and Pohiki close by. • Charm /diversity /architecture. • Remodeling upkeep. • Love old town, old construction. • Small town local flavor. Lots of good smells and laid back attitude. I like that when people are not rowdy. I don't see law officers. Love the pool and community center and library and the fact that there are plenty of sidewalk overhangs. • I love and appreciate Pahoa for an older and authentic feel of a small town. I love the sense of community rather than tourism; keep the town for serving the people who live here. • Love its small size -I love the pool, community center, & park. • Simple and slow pace. • It is not overdeveloped. Keep it that way. NO MORE FAST FOOD!! • I love the small older side of Pahoa because the store fronts have character. I like the local businesses like Puna Style, Island Naturals, Luquins, 2 Thai restaurants, Jungle love, I support all local business. Pahoa Feed & Fertilizer. Skate Park is a star and Pahoa Pool. • Nice town. • Its rustic nature is old town Pahoa. I like the old look of the raised sidewalk. • No more big buildings! • It's safe, mellow & quaint.
