HWY 132 A/C Champion: 0 s h i Description: Project Budget: • 2014 Budget Request: "Hwy. 132 Road shoulder repair, widening & clearing" $200,000 A/C Tasks Completed to date: • CIP request for widening and scraping the shoulder of Highway 132 from Pahoa to the 4mm submitted • Met with Councilman Hagan and Warren Lee about the Hazardous situation through the "tree tunnel" - the 4 miles from Pahoa to Kapoho A/C Next Action Item: • Develop the established route that connects Kahakai Blvd to Maku'u Dr, as a paved bicycle path and 25mph roadway • Address Hazardous situation with the Albizias along Hwy 132 B. HPP - Pathways Master Plan A/C Champion: June Description: Deve lopm e nt of pedestrian walkways and bikeways in HPP Project Budget: A/C Tasks Completed to date: • June 2012 - Formation of HPPOA Paradise Paths Committee - to start developing pathways master plan. • June 2013 - HPP Pathways Master Plan (Living Plan) was created with map indicating the locations of the different Pathways types A/C Next Action Item: • First Phase of master plan is developing a Multi -Use Non - Motorized Lane along Paradise Drive(Hwy 130 to Beach Road • Establish a pedestrian /bicycle corridor that connects HPP to Hilo, using old Government Beach Road, Railroad right -of -way or alternative route C.
