<br />HAWAI‘I COUNTY FIRE COMMISSION <br />MINUTES OF JANUARY 8, 2014 <br />NORTH HAWAI‘I COMMUNITY HOSPITAL <br />67-1125 MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY, KAMUELA, HAWAI‘I <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Chair Taniguchi called the meeting to order at 10:30 a.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Toby Taniguchi, Chair <br /> Byron Moku, Vice Chair <br /> David De Luz, Jr., Commissioner <br /> Carol Kitaoka, Commissioner <br /> Kimo Lee, Commissioner <br /> Mapuana Waipa, Commissioner <br />Absent: Laurie Bass, Commissioner <br /> Luahiwa Namahoe, Commissioner <br />A quorum was present. <br />Also present: Lincoln S. T. Ashida, Corporation Counsel <br /> Darren Rosario, Fire Chief <br /> Wayne Krug, Volunteer Fire Chief <br /> Josie Pelayo, Secretary <br />Recess was called at 10:33 a.m. The meeting reconvened at 12:07 p.m. <br />STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br />None. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Commissioner De Luz motioned to approve the agenda. Commissioner Waipa <br />seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 13, 2013 <br />Commissioner Lee motioned to approve the regular session minutes. Commissioner <br />De Luz seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. <br />Commissioner De Luz motioned to approve the executive session minutes. <br />Commissioner Lee seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. <br /> <br />
